The 20th anniversary of the FME Congress provided an opportunity to reflect on two decades of innovation and progress in the field of aesthetic medicine. As active participants in this event, we had the privilege to witness how our industry has evolved, adapting to technological advancements, new trends, and the changing needs of patients. The Palais des Congrès in Antibes Juan-les-Pins served as the stage for this collective reflection on our past, present, and future in the field of aesthetic medicine.

Discussions and presentations at the FME Congress 2024 were very enriching, covering a wide range of topics from artificial intelligence to regulations, and new treatment techniques. One particularly concerning issue addressed was the problem of fake injectors—unqualified individuals performing aesthetic injections without proper training. These fake injectors pose a serious risk to patient safety, often resulting in severe medical complications.
In response, we joined experts in emphasizing the importance of strengthening regulations and raising public awareness about the dangers associated with these unprofessional practices. Another important action point highlighted was the need to promote continuous education and certification for qualified practitioners to ensure high standards of safety and efficacy.
